The book follows a series of colourful butterflies, each a different colour that matches the world around it. The last butterfly is white, yet when a drop of water lands on its wings it becomes the most beautiful of all, reflecting all the colours of the rainbow. The final page is also an interactive die cut page, allowing children to place any piece of fabric or cloth behind to create their own butterfly wing patterns.
The illustrations are beautiful, and the colourful butterflies really seem to pop out from the pages. It's a lovely book to share with young children that are beginning to learn their colours, and although the colours are bright it is more pleasing and gentle on the eyes to look through than some toddler books, with their over bright illustrations.
