Summer is here, and it's the season for picnics! I was asked by The Collective to plan a great day out with the children. They sent me some fun bits and pieces to help us enjoy our day, and some new Suckies yoghurt pouches to try out.
Suckies have been created by The Collective, and are a kids' range of portable, mess-free yoghurt puches that are perfect for taking out and about with you. Suitable from six months of age, Suckies can be eaten straight from the pouch so there is no mess and no dirty spoons to bring back home. They can be frozen in advance and then packed in the morning, meaning that they are ready to eat at lunchtime (also helping to keep the rest of the lunch cool). The pouches are also resealable, perfect for little ones with smaller appetites or those that like to come back to food later on.
Suckies are available in three different flavours - Blueberry, Sassy Strawberry and Peach & Apricot. Ten percent of each pouch is comprised of real fruit, but the texture is completely smooth, they are made with creamy live yoghurt and only natural fruit sugars.
We tried out our Suckies yoghurt on a picnic with friends at a new playground that has opened near to us - Dinosaur Island at Southwater Country Park, West Sussex.
It's a fantastic place, filled with dinosaur themed play things, including a big volcano in the middle, dinosaur eggs and models to climb on, and netted walkways to climb through. We had a great time! After a nice long play we settled down for a picnic, and the Suckies made a perfect addition.
It was great to be able to eat the yoghurt directly from the pouch, and the children found them really fun to eat! I knew that we'd be eating soon after we packed them so I didn't need to freeze them, and they were fine in the cool bag. The packs are a good size, and I think that even younger children would struggle to make a mess eating them!
We had a couple of packs left for when we returned home. Mia in particular was a huge fan of these yoghurts, I think that we are going to be adding them to the shopping list!
I was sent a bag of goodies in exchange for this review, including some Suckies samples. Suckies are sold individually at an RRP of 79p per pouch, and are available in most supermarkets.
